What to Expect

The Souk Market Expedition

Your culinary adventure starts with a guided walk through the local souks. You will visit a traditional bakery, a vegetable merchant, and an herbalist shop. Learn how to select the best ingredients, identify essential Moroccan spices like cumin, saffron, ginger, and Ras el Hanout, and discover the cultural significance of food in Moroccan daily life.

The Cooking Workshop

Back at our cooking riad, you will be set up at your individual cooking station. Under the guidance of our Dada (traditional chef), you will learn the techniques of layering spices, slow-cooking in clay tagines, and preparing side salads. You will also learn the art of brewing the perfect Moroccan mint tea, complete with the traditional high-pour technique.

The Feast

After cooking, gather around a shared table in the riad's courtyard or garden to enjoy the delicious feast you have created. Toast your culinary success with fresh mint tea and share stories with your fellow chefs.
